The latest then-expected US GDP figures for the third quarter, which also pointed to higher-than-expected inflation last quarter, did little to affect cryptocurrency markets on Thursday, where the focus it is mainly held on bullish narratives such as institutional adoption (with Bitcoin ETFs expected to get the green light in the US soon) and safe-haven demand.

Bitcoin (BTC) was last traded slightly lower in the past 24 hours at $34,300, while Ether (ETH) was last near 2% higher over the same time period.

Bitcoin could soon find new bullish momentum with the cryptocurrency soon expected to enjoy a bullish “golden cross”, where its 50DMA moves above the 200DMA.

Meanwhile, Ether has convincingly broken north of its 200 DMA and sits comfortably above $1,800, with bets increasing for a near-term bomb north of the $2,000 level.

Most of the other major blue-chip cryptocurrencies were little moved on Thursday, although Dogecoin (DOGE) and Shiba Inu (SHIB) rose 12% and 8% in the past 24 hours, a sign that appetite for risk is increasing in the market.

While crypto markets are sending strong signals that the bull market is back, the best place to secure fast exponential gains is still within the highly illiquid and volatile shitcoin/meme coin market.

Below are some of the best performing small-cap coins according to DEXTools.

Stakify ($SIFY)

A shitcoin called Stakify ($SIFY) that launched earlier this week is up nearly 200% in the past 24 hours, making it one of the best-performing small-cap coins, according to DEXTools.

The token, which claims to power a platform that unites innovation and performance in decentralized finance (DeFi), last had a market cap of around $1.5 million and 24-hour trading volumes about $840,000.

$SIFY has almost $200,000 in locked-in liquidity and nearly 500 holders, but has a very worrying 30% sales tax, which can be tweaked even higher, according to DEXTools’ security audit.

Investors should be very careful that the token could therefore be a scam.

HairyPlotterFTX ($FTX)

A shitcoin called HairyPlotterFTX ($FTX), which is trying to follow the momentum of the ongoing trial of former FTX CEO Sam Bankman-Fried, has been pushing for the last few days.

$FTX is up nearly 200% in the last 24 hours, according to DEXToolsamid $160,000 in 24-hour trading volumes, and last had a market cap of around $300,000.

The token has more than 1,300 holders and more than $100,000 in locked liquidity, and only has one security alert regarding its smart contract, according to DEXTools’ security audit.

BarbieCrashBandicootRFK888Inu ($SOLANA)

Another crap coin with a wild name called BarbieCrashBandicootRFK888Inu ($SOLANA) is surging on Thursday, continuing its streak of strong gains over the past four days.

$SOLANA rose nearly 200% in the last 24 hours, according to DEXToolsamid over $600,000 in 24-hour trading volume.

The shitcoin’s market cap exceeded $2 million, with over 2,100 holders and about $260,000 in unlocked liquidity.

The token’s smart contract is only one aspect related, according to DEXTools’ security audit.

Cryptography alternatives to consider

Shitcoins can offer great potential returns, but they also come with great risk.

For those looking for a better chance of short-term gains, a high-risk, high-reward alternative investment strategy to consider is participating in the crypto presale.

This is where investors buy crypto startup project tokens to help fund their development.

These tokens are almost always sold cheaply, and there is a long history of pre-sales offering exponentially large gains to early investors.

Many of these projects have great teams behind them and a great vision to deliver a revolutionary crypto app/platform.

If an investor can identify these projects, the risk/reward of their pre-sale investment is very good.

The Cryptonews team spends a lot of time reviewing pre-sale projects to help investors.

Here is a list of 15 of what the project considers the best cryptocurrency sales of 2023.
