The 2024 Ford Mustang In its seventh generation, the GT presented a new take on an old classic. Ford’s latest muscle car is an exciting blend of modern design and pure heritage, but with serious American power. Its new 5.0-liter V8 engine from the Mustang can produce 480 hp. which is already 30 hp. more than its predecessor. In addition to this, Mustang has built in several Performance options, such as a MagneRide active damping suspension and an active exhaust system straight from the factory.
For some enthusiasts, this may not be enough, so Ford has announced a number of new performance packages at SEMA 2023 in Las Vegas. These packages include the new Street Performance Packages for the Mustang, which will be available from 2024, with the most notable addition being a supercharger kit that boosts output to an incredible 800+ hp. Ford developed these new packages in response to customer feedback, and according to Mark Wilson, Ford’s North American vehicle personalization manager, the new packages will combine the latest design trends with aftermarket accessories.

Ford Performance Parts has released details of its new Mustang FP800S Performance Package, which is designed to give the street vehicle straight-line performance. Ford said the package will be available as an option on any 2024 Mustang GT coupe. It includes an axle upgrade kit and a street lowering kit, and options include a Borla Extreme cat-back exhaust system with quad 5.0-inch tips and carbon fiber elements.
The biggest update, however, comes in the form of a sixth-generation 3.0-liter Whipple Supercharger kit, as seen in the previously released F-150 FP700 package. A supercharger can increase total power output to at least 800 horsepower when paired with the Mustang’s 5.0-liter V8 engine. This puts it on par with the recently announced Ford Mustang GTD in terms of power. The price has not yet been announced.

Ford Bronco and Ranger models will also get new Performance packages
In addition to the Mustang’s performance boost, Ford has released details of the Ford Performance off-road packages, which are designed to transform Ford trucks and SUVs into off-road vehicles. The 2024 Ford Ranger benefits from the Ranger Ford Performance Off-Road Concept Package, available on the all-wheel-drive Ranger XLT and Lariat models.
The addition of an ARB land suspension kit quickly boosts the Ranger’s off-road capabilities, as do new ARB front and rear bumpers with additional recovery points. Additional optional extras include an on-board air compressor, SOLIS lighting and a 47 liter fridge/freezer.
Meanwhile, any Bronco Base, Big Bend, Black Diamond or Outer Banks model will be able to get the new Bronco Ford Performance ORV package. That’s if they have a 2.3-liter EcoBoost engine and an automatic or manual transmission.
A new Bilstein suspension offers a 2.0-inch lift, complemented by 17-inch white wheels and 35-inch tires. The Bronco package adds a unique software calibration for the 2.3-liter engine, and optional extras include a high-bore Borla exhaust system, ARB jack and mounts, and an underhood supercharger. Ford also announced special vinyl wraps that will be available for the 2024 F-150, Mustang, Bronco and Explorer in early 2024.
