How to watch Tesla’s Cybertruck delivery event if you missed it

Four years after its launch, Tesla has finally delivered its first Cybertruck pickup to buyers.

Led by Tesla CEO Elon Musk, the lavish presentation event took place Thursday at the automaker’s Gigafactory Texas in Austin.

Tesla livestreamed the event on X (formerly Twitter), and you can watch it below.

Even though the video is 50 minutes long, the new event will last 25 minutes, so press the slider to that point to get started.

It starts with a new promotional video for the Cybertruck showing it tackling a variety of challenging terrain.

Next, Musk took the stage to talk about the newest addition to Tesla’s product lineup, describing the Cybertruck as “our best product yet,” and adding that “ultimately, the future will look like the future.”

Highlights include a replay (30:25) of a stress test that went horribly wrong when the Cybertruck was introduced in 2019 when a steel ball was thrown at the vehicle’s window, breaking the glass. Watch to find out how he fares this time.

To further demonstrate the Cybertruck’s toughness, the video includes bullet test footage (32:12) which does what it says on the tin.

Musk also discusses the Cybertruck’s ability to do real work in terms of tasks like towing (34:12), and also explains some things about its steer-by-wire capabilities (38:46).

We could also see the Cybertruck (a top-of-the-range tri-motor version capable of 0-60 mph in 2.6 seconds) racing against a Porsche 911 (40:12), although as you’ll see, it’s no ordinary contest.

The final seven minutes saw the first buyers climb into their new Cybertrucks. Mostly it’s a handshake and a smile. “This will completely change the look of the street,” Musk said.
