Amazon Prime Video has a ton of great TV shows, from their original versions Power, Generation V, And The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power to new and classic network series that you can watch with a basic Amazon Prime subscription, such as American Horror Story, Spin City, And LA Law. But besides all the best shows on Prime Video, there are some shows that are underrated. These are the shows you might scroll right to when looking for something to watch but never show up. Sometimes, you may not realize they are available to watch.
If you’re looking for something different, check out three underrated shows on Prime Video that you need to watch in December. One is a sports documentary series, another is a show worth watching if you’re obsessed with Netflix’s new true crime documentary series, and the third is an excellent under-the-radar serial killer series with two famous actors at the forefront.
First Coach (2022-)
Available with ads on Freevee or as part of your Prime Video subscription without them, First Trainer follows former professional football and baseball player Deion Sanders as he serves as the head coach for the Jackson State Tigers college football team.
The series originated on Barstool Sports’ YouTube channel in 2021 and was later turned into a four-part documentary series for Prime Video. There are already plans for a fourth season that would follow Sanders as he works with the Colorado Buffaloes at the University of Colorado Boulder. This is a great series for football fans to dive into the sport at the college level.

Desperately Looking for a Soulmate: Escaping a Twin Flame (2023)
If you watch the Netflix docu-series Escaping a Twin Flame, one of the top trending shows this month on the streaming service, then you might be happy to know that there’s another show that dives deeper into the story of Jeff and Shaleia Divine and their organization Twin Flames Universe (TFU). Considered by many to be a cult, TFU promises to help people find their true love. However, this requires a variety of online classes that can run in the thousands. Jeff and Shaleia, meanwhile, don’t shy away from showing off their luxurious lifestyle.
Desperately Searching for a Soulmate: Escaping a Twin Flame hosted by a Vanity Fair reporter discussing her research on TFU. In addition to her perspective, including footage of a first-hand visit to the couple’s home, you’ll also see interviews with Shaleia’s father and former best friend Jeff. You’ll learn more about their childhood and hear from other past and present members and their families. This documentary series was actually released a month before Netflix, and is worth watching too if you’re fascinated (and horrified) by Escaping a Twin Flame.

Fall (2013-2016)
A hidden gem in the series, Gillian Anderson and Jamie Dornan star in this delicious crime drama. She is Detective Inspector Stella Gibson and he is Paul Spector, a serial killer who ironically works as a grief counselor by day. Fall is about the dance between Stella and Paul. He suspects there is something more sinister than meets the eye for this venerable husband and father. He, however, continues to evade her, killing again and again to satisfy his perverted desires, his family none the wiser to his extracurricular activities.
Set in Belfast, the RTE One and BBC Two series is unique in that the identity of the killer is soon revealed. Focus on Fall but rather on the perpetrator’s psychology, his motivations, and how he manages the balance between who he pretends to be and who he really is. Anderson, meanwhile, shines in his role as a dogged detective who goes by his intuition.
